When 2XM was approached by C2-MTL, there was excitement in the office. For a good reason.
C2-MTL, in its first edition, imposed itself as one of the most prestigious events in commerce and creativity in North America. Bringing some of the most creative minds of multiple industries around the world together and showcasing some of the most mind-blowing creations of Quebec, C2-MTL is truly Ground Zero for agencies like 2XM Interactive.
The challenge: propose a unique experience that fits a 15′ x 15′ cube and expands the notions of creativity and experiential activations. Only six companies were to be selected across the province for this E-Merge Exhibit.
Not only was 2XM Interactive selected among the Top 6, but we were the youngest company of the group! Talk about an honor.
2XM’s QReative Room wowed visitors and showcased a world-first complete reinvention of the guestbook experience. Visitors entered a 360-degree immersive projection filled with QR codes floating on the walls. Scanning a code with a mobile phone connected the code to the visitor’s Facebook account, and turned the code into a live tile featuring the visitor’s profile picture, name, and customized note to describe the C2 experience. An interactive touch glass surface in the middle of the room allowed visitors to control the movement of the projections and scroll through the infinite QR wall.
2XM is proud to have been part of such a mind-blowing event and to showcase a cutting-edge project that demonstrates how interactivity can transform any [mundane] element [such as a guestbook] into an immersive, fascinating experience that delights and entertains the public.
Our thanks go to Frédéric Loury, curator of the E-Merge exhibit, for trusting 2XM, Jonathan Couillard, and Catherine Lafrenière for their hard work, and the entire C2-MTL team.
